AMC Theatres will offer a “Movie Pass” type monthly subscription service through its loyalty program starting June 26.
The company will add AMC Stubs A-List to its rewards program, offering members up to three movies per week for $19.95 a month, according to a news release.
The new tier will join the free Stubs Insider and $15 Stubs Premiere levels of the reward program.
The program, which takes its cue from Movie Pass, which offers unlimited movies for $9.99 a month, will let members see movies at any AMC theater and in any format, including IMAX and 3D films. Tickets may be purchased onAMCTheatres.com or through the AMC smartphone app.
Depending on the tier, reward members can see any movie for $5 on Tuesdays, get free upgrades and refills on popcorn and soda and earn 100 points for every $1 spent (including on the new monthly fee) for food and beverages. Premiere members receive a $5 reward for every 5,000 points earned.
