The 2022 Chapter Excellence Awards, which recognize efforts that took place in 2021, were presented Sunday to ATD chapters for excelling in joint membership growth, strategic partnerships, and advancing the profession through ATD certification.
The Excellence in Strategic Partnership Award was presented to the Greater Atlanta Chapter for being the large chapter (defined as having 300 or more members) to make a significant impact on local businesses and communities. The San Antonio Chapter was the medium (101-299 members) chapter and the Central Massachusetts Chapter was the small (fewer than 100 members) chapter honored in this category.
The Excellence in Advancing the Profession Through ATD Certification (APTD/CPTD) Award was presented to the Central Massachusetts Chapter (small chapter) and Hawkeye Chapter (medium chapter) for significantly fostering talent development in their communities and for professionalizing the industry through promoting the Certified Professional in Talent Development and Associate Professional in Talent Development credentials
The Greater Atlanta Chapter (large chapter), Austin Chapter (medium chapter), and Maine Chapter (small chapter) earned the Excellence in Net Joint Membership Growth awards for the greatest net increase in joint members from 2020 to 2021.
The Power Membership Award winners were also recognized. The rewards program recognizes the top three Chapter Affiliation Requirements (CARE)-achieved chapters in each size category with the highest percentage of joint chapter-ATD membership: Greater Cleveland, Central Massachusetts, and Tulsa for small; Metro DC, Rocky Mountain, Central Pennsylvania, Houston, and Kansas for medium; Dallas, Greater Atlanta, and Chicagoland for large. The winning chapters received a cash prize and a complimentary program registration.
