Free smartphone applications for six Atlantic City casinos are now available.
Golden Nugget Atlantic City shares an app with Golden Nugget casinos in Biloxi, Miss., Lake Charles, La., and Las Vegas and Laughlin, Nev.
Resorts has the Resorts Casino Hotel app and Tropicana Atlantic City has the Trop Advantage app.
Bally’s Atlantic City, Caesars Atlantic City and Harrah’s Resort share the Play by Total Rewards app with nearly 40 other Caesars Entertainment-operated casinos.
Download the iOS versions from the Apple App Store; the Android versions from Google Play.
The apps provide a convenient option for players to check current promotions, as well as free play, room, food and gift offers, invitations to special events, comp dollar and tier credit balances.
In addition, players can use the apps to make hotel and restaurant reservations, and receive special “app-only” offers.
Details about a casino’s services and amenities are the same as players can get on the casino’s website, but specially formatted for a phone’s smaller screen. Each casino’s app also has some unique features.
Tropicana’s app shows what games the casino offers, and also allows individuals to sign on as a guest.
The Play by TR app for Caesars properties shows players who their hosts are at each property, as well as which hosts are currently available, and how to contact them.
The Play app also shows room preferences and upcoming hotel reservations, along with giving guests the ability to check-in without standing in line at the front desk.
And, speaking of preferences, with The Play app, Total Rewards cardholders can specify which types of notifications and marketing offers they want to receive: bars and nightlife, casual and fine dining, entertainment and shows, gaming, golf, shopping, spa/fitness, smoking/vaping, and/or the World Series of Poker.
Golden Nugget’s, Resorts’ and Tropicana’s apps have information about their player loyalty club programs and benefits, as well as cashback balances.
Golden Nugget’s app also includes a link to GoldenNuggetCasino.com, but players must be 21 and physically located in New Jersey.
For those who like to play for fun, the Play app has a link to Caesars Slotomania, and the Trop Advantage app has a link to Tropicana Entertainment’s TropWorld — both free online casinos.
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City may not open for a few more months, but social gamers can enjoy its free online casino at HardRockSocialCasino.com. The games are available both on desktop and mobile, there’s no charge to play, and winners get “virtual” credits as prizes.
Players also have the option of linking play to Hard Rock’s casino loyalty programs to earn points for prizes and gifts.
