To start saving, customers can download the Whole Foods Market mobile app, sign in with their Amazon account and then scan the app’s Prime Code at checkout. Alternatively,  customers can opt in to use their mobile phone number to save at checkout.

Austin, Texas-based Whole Foods formally launched the new program on May 16, bringing the program to all of its Florida locations, with the plan to begin expanding it nationwide starting this summer. Less than two weeks ago, the program expanded to more states: Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Missouri (Kansas City area), Louisiana, New Mexico, northern Nevada, northern California, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah. All of its small-format 365 stores also offer the program.

Whole Foods operates 470 stores in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. Under the name of its parent company, Seattle-based Amazon, the grocer lands at No. 8 on Progressive Grocer’s Super 50 list of top U.S. grocers, reporting most recent fiscal year-end sales of $15.7 billion.
